Dont count on it working.

Sadly the only way that this seems to work is if I have the app open and at the forefront right before locking the phone. Or if some other app causes an alert to the lock screen.

I had hoped to use this to keep my calendar visible without unlocking the phone. But 95% of the time it doesnt work that way. I still need to unlock the phone and open an app.

I thought maybe it was a user error so I tried changing settings. I wanted this to work so much that I contacted the developer to see if they could help. (No response).

I would recommend, sadly, jail breaking your phone and using a proper non approved app. As I recall on my old phone there are a number of them available.
